We will examine how social identities children bring with them to the classroom (i.e., race, native language, etc.) predisposes them and/or their families to -isms or privileges within the larger society and our own idealogical stance toward the children in our classroom (What are my beliefs about bilingual education in the American classroom? What racial stereotypes do I have?).
Join us as we look at how children's sociocultural development and awareness are encouraged in a quality early childhood program.
