Talk, Read, Connect: FCCERS-R Language & Books-Virtual

This training explores the FCCERS-R Language & Books items and how family child care providers can create a language-rich environment that supports children's communication, early literacy, and learning. Participants will discover practical strategies for engaging children in conversations throughout the day, selecting and using books effectively, expanding vocabulary through play, and incorporating literacy experiences into everyday routines. Through discussion and real-world examples, providers will learn how intentional interactions and accessible books help build the foundation for lifelong learning while supporting higher-quality practices.
