Building Social Skills in Young Children Using Concepts from "A Little Spot of Emotion"-Peoria, IL

Children learn to name their feelings-now what? This workshop bridges the gap between recognizing emotions and actually managing them. Participants will explore what self-regulation looks like, why some children struggle more than others, and practical in-the-moment strategies for co-regulating alongside children when big feelings show up. Rooted in brain development basics and grounded in everyday child care practice.
