Play, Explore, Create: FCCERS-R Activities-Virtual (Rescheduled from 12/8)

The FCCERS-R Activities subscale examines the variety, accessibility, and quality of materials and experiences available to children in family child care settings. In this training, participants will take an in-depth look at the Activities items within the FCCERS-R and learn how indicators are applied during an assessment. Participants will explore best practices for supporting children's development through art, music and movement, blocks, dramatic play, fine motor activities, nature and science experiences, math materials, and opportunities for active physical play. Through examples and discussion, providers will identify strategies to strengthen activity areas, increase children's engagement and independence, and create learning environments that support higher quality FCCERS-R outcomes.
